The Supply Chain Coordinator ensures product availability, timely communication and supply chain flow performance in order to meet demand and inventory turns.
Supply Chain Coordinator
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Production planning and direct communication with suppliers; manage suppliers, to ensure material availability and production lead times.
- Responsible for issuing purchase orders for stock replenishment based on inventory, forecast and sales analysis.
- Maintain stock rotation and optimize inventory turns.
- Review historical sales trends, prepare forecast data, and evaluate forecast results.
- Provide input within the organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
- Partner with vendors, transportation, distribution and sourcing teams to co-ordinate flow of goods through the network.
- Consistently review and manage product availability addressing any gaps that may impact inventory commitments.
- Track purchase order movement through supply chain pipelines.
- Develop and maintain effective communication to internal stakeholders; Generate reports for tracking, out of stock, forecasting, analysis and submit according to agreed timelines.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development to understand demand forecast drivers, analyze data, identify trends, communicate findings and drive change.
- Consistently identify areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them
- Responsible for optimizing inventory control procedures.
- Understand and effectively communicate all aspects of supply chain programs; Analyze available data to provide insights related to product flow and supply chain performance.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a similar or related field, preferably supply chain.
- 1-3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role within supply chain.
- High Level of Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (Pivot Tables, V-lookup, conditional and if statements…)
- Excellent knowledge of production and inventory management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical, detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage many conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter working in an entrepreneurial environment
